MISS DIOR CHÉRIE

This ad campaign for Miss Dior Chérie, by Tim Walker and starring Maryna Linchuk, was released in November of last year but it's just now making it's way to our streets and we thought it deserved to be back in the spotlight. We can't stop staring at the billboards and window displays everywhere, it's sweet, chic, gorgeous and the ribbon typography doesn't hurt either. Sofia Coppola was in charge of creating the accompanying TV commercial and here's the director's cut, enjoy!

Esta campaña publicitaria para la fragancia Miss Dior Chérie, fotografiada por Tim Walker y que tiene como protagonista a Maryna Linchuk, fue lanzada en noviembre del año pasado pero es hasta ahora que está haciendo su aparición en nuestras calles y creímos que merecía una segunda puesta en escena. No podemos dejar de ver las vallas y vitrinas por todos lados, la campaña es tan chic, dulce, bella y la tipografía hecha de listón nos encanta. Sofía Coppola estuvo a cargo de crear el comercial para tele que la acompaña, ésta es la versión del director, que la disfruten!

This is a little present from us to us, we love what Spanish singer Miguel Bosé was doing in the 80s and beginning of the 90s, he had an amazing sense of style and became one of our favorite fashion icons of the time. This is our favorite out of all of his songs and it's also one of our favorite videos, it's so beautifully executed we have to watch it over and over again. We hope you enjoy this flashback with us.

Seventeen year old Amanda Laine is one of those models that makes you take a second look, she has those dark, thick, Jennifer Connelly eyebrows and a paler than pale skin that makes her stand out of the herd of up and coming models. She got her start in fashion in '07, after winning the V Magazine and Supreme Model Management model search out of nowhere, and traded her native Canada for NYC, Paris and Milan. Amanda's on the rise, she's one of the faces of Balenciaga's Spring 09 campaign and has grabbed prime spots on shows like Alexander McQueen, Louis Vuitton, Miu Miu, Burberry and Lanvin, she has also shot editorials for POP, W, Interview, Numéro, Harper's Bazaar and V. We love her look and know we'll be seeing more of her.
