THE QUEEN IS NO MORE

Proyectos UV is at it again! This time they bring us "The Queen is no More, The Moose Killed Her" by Guatemalan born Naufus Ramírez-Figueroa, it's a beautiful approach to his relationship with Her Majesty, the Queen.

Expect to be thrilled, shocked and fascinated by this kid's work, it's stunning! There will also be drinks, cumbia and the usual mingling that happens at UV's zone one cave. The show opens tomorrow night at 7 pm and it'll stay up till Jan. 22.

Proyectos Ultravioleta está haciéndolo de nuevo. Esta vez nos trae "La Reina ha Muerto, el Alce la Mató" del artista nacido en Guatemala, Naufus Ramírez-Figueroa, un acercamiento bello a su relación con Su Majestad, La Reina.

Esperen quedar shockeados y fascinados por el trabajo de Naufus, es espectacular! También habrán bebidas, cumbia y las compañías y mezclas usuales que suceden en la cueva de la zona 1 de UV. La muestra abre mañana a las 7pm y estará abierta hasta el 22 de enero.

mybiennialisbetterthanyours is a curatorial project by Tolga Taluy (Turkey), created for the X Biennale of Lyon. This online project gathers work of 31 of the most exciting web artists today, including AIDS 3-D, Petra Cortright, Aleksandra Domanovic, Oliver Laric, Angelo Plessas, Harmen Van Den Dorpel and Damon Zucconi.

We hope you can join Proyectos UltraVioleta for a great evening of internet and art related activities.

The schedule is as follows:

4 pm - Live presentation of mybiennialisbetterthanyours by Tolga Taluy via Skype, followed by a Q&A with the audience.

6 pm - Screening of YouTube videos selected by AIDS 3-D (Daniel Keller and Nik Kosmas).

7 pm - Screening of RIP: A Remix Manifesto (2009), a documentary film about copyright and remix culture by Brett Gaylor.
